Individual passports for Italy’s  football fans

A special individual passport for Italian football fans will be introduced in the upcoming football season in Italy. The aim of this novelty is to improve the level of safety at football stadiums to prevent possible clashes between aggressive fans. Football fans will be provided with a special passport required to enter a stadium upon the purchase of a ticket to a match. If a fan gets into a skirmish during a match, information about the incident will be registered on the passport.
