Festival of capoeira and Brazilian dances

Capoeira is a Brazilian national martial art that combines elements of dance and acrobatic tricks. The bouts are accompanied by ethnic Brazilian music. Capoeira proved its effectiveness in the struggle of Brazilian slaves with oppressors but nowadays is rarely used for combat purposes.
The festival is organized by the Hache Capoeira School, who has worked in Ukraine for more than 8 years now.
Among the honorary guests are President of the Capoeira Federation of the Brazilian State of Pernabucu Mestre Barrao, 3-time world champion Prof. Barrazinho and Prof. Tigaro, a many-time champion of combat without rules.

The Russian ballerina presents the show “Nine Stories about Love” with the participation of other opera and ballet stars. Ukrainian singer Alex Luna with a rare soprano that no more than 20 performers have is the guest of the show.

One of the world’s most famous deejays Paul Van Dyk will give a show. According to the rules of the German language, his name is properly spelled Paul von Duk, but abroad goes by the stage name Van Dyk, though his real name is Matthias Pol. Born in the former East Germany, all of his childhood days he learned modern music listening to banned western radio stations.
Today, Paul Van Dyk is considered an undisputed leader of the trance. He is also a political activist protesting against the war in Iraq and the invasion of Afghanistan. He considers his music an international language that is understood by all people and proves in the lyrics of his compositions.
