Ukrainian agribusinesses harvested 29.194 million tons of grain and leguminous plants as at August 26, preliminary estimates say. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports that the nation’s agribusinesses threshed 11.832 million hectares or 80% of 14.9715 million hectares projected. The average crop yield is 24.7 centners per hectare. In particular, farmers harvested 17.911 million tons of wheat on 6.295 million hectares (projected area is 6.300 million hectares). The average crop yield made up 28.5 centners per hectare. Earlier, Agrarian Vice Prime Minister Viktor Slauta told the press that the harvest of early grain crops is expected at 28.5029 million tons.
