The National Central Bureau of INTERPOL in Ukraine created a special department to deal with groups of foreign football fans arriving in Ukraine to attend the EURO 2012 championships.

Ukraine’s Interior Ministry has been busy dealing with matters related to football fans from abroad for a few years, deputy minister Viktor Ratushnyak noted at the meeting with his German colleagues last week.

“Now we have created a corresponding department in the INTERPOL Bureau in Ukraine. I hope we will create an information database for football fans in compliance with all international requirements with your assistance and the support of other law enforcement bodies,” Ratushnyak said.
