The Naftohaz Ukrainy national oil and gas company will work to obtain back its right to natural gas re-export during the negotiations with Russia´s Gazprom. The task was high on the government’s agenda. “We must export too having these transit capacities,” he said. The previous contracts between Naftohaz and Gazprom, including the deal concluded 19 January 2009, explicitly banned re-exports. Naftohaz stopped re-exports of the gas purchased from Gazprom in 2005.
